Don PX Gran Reserva 1986, 37.5cl

This excellent Gran Reserva is a young Pedro Ximenez subjected to oxidative ageing for a minimum of 25 years in American oak. The colour is almost jet black with iodine notes, a hallmark of Pedro Ximenez wines. It has an unbelievable range of fragrances such as cacao cream, liquorice, black olives, peach syrup, Arabic coffee, vanilla, and cinnamon. The palate is indulgent with a woody expression from the long ageing in oak. An excellent dessert wine by itself, but a perfect partner for strong blue cheese.
