Colour dark chestnut with iodine edge, medium tear. Bouquet: A marked character to orangette in nose that stands above anything else. As this aroma dissipates, scents of high roast coffee and liquorice root appear with a finish of caramel. Very balanced. Palate: Let the wine roll in mouth and it will gradually uncover to your taste buds. Balsamic, concentrated in liquorice. Perfect harmony of mint and camphor, as dense as honey and raisins. A proud representative of complexity. The basis of our Don PX Convento is Don PX young wine. Harvested and selected grapes are spread in mats and follow sun-drying process to become raisins. After pressing the juice we will obtain a partially-fermented grape must. PX wine alcohol will be added and the wine will follow oxidative ageing in American oak casks for at least 25 years before being bottled. Given its high density, this is a non-filtered wine. Single vintage and limited production. Bottled in 2014 – Aged for 59 years.
