This wine is a product of a long maceration process which extracts maximum colour and tannins from the grapes ensuring a great balance between alcohol and tannins. After 18 months in oak barrels, the excellent end product can also be put down for a minimum of ten years to mature and further improve. It has an intense Cherry red colour with a delicate and elegant aroma of plums, black olives, and ripe fruits. On the palate there are hints of minerals, carbon, and graphite behind the full flavour of ripe fruits with a long aftertaste. Great with all kinds of meat dishes, particularly game and sausages, and ideally the wine should breathe for an hour before serving. We can’t wait to try it again in ten years!
